Television's newest hip channel debuted Tuesday.
ABC Family axed its "family" moniker and changed its name to Freeform, in an attempt to connect more with its target audience of 14- to 34-year-old viewers.
It's fitting as the Disney network has long given viewers edgier shows, with topics that have recently ranged from teen pregnancy to drug addiction and material likely to make for an unconformatble watch with family.
Here are ten shows from the network that aren’t too family friendly:

“Make It or Break It”

Secrets and betrayals come with competition in this show.

“Make It or Break It,” starring Ayla Kell, Josie Loren, Cassie Scerbo and Chelsea Hobbs, starts out simply enough as the story about four teenage gymnasts trying to make it to the Olympics.
By the end of the show’s three seasons, the girls had dealt with teen pregnancies, bisexuality, molestation, epilepsy and anorexia.

“Greek”

There's plenty of adult moments in this show about greek-life.

Any TV show about fraternities and sororities is probably going to get a little awkward in front parents, and “Greek” was no different.
From Rebecca Logan’s (Dilshad Vadsaria) hookup with Evan Chambers (Jake McDorman) in the pilot to Calvin Owens’ (Paul James) secret boyfriend, “Greek” never hesitated to push the limits of family-friendly.

“Jane by Design”

The short-lived "Jane by Design" only lasted 18 episodes.

“Jane by Design” starred Erica Dasher as Jane Quimby, who lands her dream job working for fashion designer Gray Chandler Murray (Andie MacDowell).
The show only lasted 18 episodes, but that was plenty of time to send Billy (Nick Roux) to juvenile detention for helping his brother try to escape the scene of a crime and India (India de Beaufort) and Eli (Bryan Dechart) to have a secret hookup while Jane is in London.

“The Lying Game”

“The Lying Game,” based on Sara Shepard’s series, started with a cliché plot of separated identical twins (Alexandra Chando) who switch places.

By the end of the second and final season, step-siblings were sleeping together, fiancées were being murdered and mothers were going to rehab.

“Bunheads”

This comedy-drama was canceled after one season.

For the most part, the Paradise ballerinas (Kaitlyn Jenkins, Julia Goldani Telles, Bailey Buntain and Emma Dumont) stayed in the studio and out of trouble (except for some secret boyfriends).
But when Hubbell (Alan Ruck) is killed in a car crash in the pilot and Michelle (Sutton Fustor) and Fanny (Kelly Bishop) are left to pick of the pieces, “Bunheads” reminded viewers that the sleepy coastal California town isn’t so cheery after all.

“Pretty Little Liars”

Full of edgy material, "Pretty Little Liars" is the most watched series of ABC Family.

Forget lying, this hit ABC show deals with more risqué material such as teacher-student relationships, a string of murders and occasional affairs.
It stars Trojain Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale and Shay Mitchell as the pretty liars who are threatened by a mysterious figure after the disappearance of their friend (Sasha Pieterse).
Instead of going to the police, the girls engage in dangerous and often illegal means to survive and protect their secrets.

“Ravenswood”

"Ravenswood" was a spin-off to "Pretty Little Liars."

This "Pretty Little Liars" spin-off didn't last long and it might have been even more outrageous and darker than its predecessor.
Helmed by actor Tyler Blackburn, the supernatural drama drew on all things creepy as it tried to tell the story of a deadly curse which plagued a town for generations.

“The Fosters”

"The Fosters" follows a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms.

This highly praised ABC drama often served up its questionable viewing moments, especially for young viewers.
The show tells a modern story of a lesbian family with their adopted and biological children.
It has some hard moments to swallow, like assault, drug selling and homophobia.
Now in its third season, the show is executive produced by Jennifer Lopez.

“Baby Daddy”

In "Baby Daddy," a young man who becomes a surprise dad to a baby girl.

The adorable baby alone doesn't make this an appropriate family comedy.
Former "Kyle XY" star Jean-Luc Bilodeau plays a young party man who isn’t ready for the baby from a one-night stand left outside his door.
It sets the stage for a coming-of-age story, except Bilodeau's character engages in endless more one night stands and frivolous relationships.

“Secret Life of the American Teenager”

Teen pregnancy is probably never too suitable for family audiences but this series from the creator of "7th Heaven" naturally amped up the drama.
A young and not-so famous Shailene Woodley played a 15-year-old Christian girl, who got pregnant after attending band camp.
As the series progressed, there was a lot more sex, more teen pregnancy and a slew of other controversial topics.

Tom Brady on his intensity: 'I'm not the easiest guy to play with'

FOXBORO — Tom Brady is one of the most driven athletes you’ll ever meet. During his press briefing today, he was asked if his teammates were aware of just how intense he is when it comes to competing and winning.

“I think they get a full dose of it year-round,” Brady said. “I would say I’m not the easiest guy to play with. There’s a lot of high expectations. I try to put a lot of pressure on everybody to get the best out of us.”

Brady, who will play in his 30th career postseason game on Saturday against the Chiefs, which ties him with Adam Vinatieri for the NFL record, explained why he’s pushing himself as well as teammates year-round.

“Every time of year I think is really important," he said. "You’re always trying to build toward something. You work really hard to get to this point. I don’t think you just start working hard last week. You’ve just got to work hard with the opportunities you have. I don’t care if it’s an off-season, non-practice day. What are you trying to do to help the team win and become a better player? If you get that opportunity, you try to go out and take advantage of it.”

Asked about his comment of not being an easy guy to play with, Brady, who owns the postseason records for passes thrown (1,085), passes completed (683), passing yards (7,345) and passing touchdowns (53), expanded.

“I think there’s different tools at different times with different players. Some guys may think I’m being really hard on them, but I don’t think I’m being hard on them at all,” he said. “I just think, ultimately, we’re all trying to get to the same place. You’ve got to have different leadership styles with different players. I think there’s always a sense of urgency. Every day, you’re trying to create some urgency so you can realize the importance of what we’re trying to do for ourselves, for our team. Because everyone puts a lot of work into this. There’s a lot of people that sacrifice a lot to get to this point. This is not a one-week event. This is a year-round thing you commit your life to, to play in moments like this. This is when you need to be at your best.”

Jeremy Maclin and five other regulars won't practice for Chiefs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs are practicing without wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and five other key players or regulars as they begin preparations for Saturday’s divisional round playoff game against the Patriots in New England.

The others who will be absent from practice: top pass rushers Justin Houstonand Tamba Hali, running back Spencer Ware and starting offensive linemenMitch Morse and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif.
Maclin has a high-ankle sprain, but coach Andy Reid said he had a chance to play against the Patriots. Asked whether Maclin could go the entire week without practicing but still play in New England,

Tom Brady is making his 13th trip to the postseason on Saturday as he and the New England Patriots take on the Kansas City Chiefs. Brady already owns postseason records for passing yards, passing touchdowns, and both completions and attempts, but he'll tie another one just by playing in the game.

Saturday will be Brady's 30th career postseason game, which will tie an NFL record held by former Patriots kicker Adam Vinatieri. If Brady and the Patriots win on Saturday, Brady will get a chance to set the record, barring an injury.
